Focus Friday

Thrifty & Chic Mom says: As we enter a new year everyone has a list as long as their arm of things they want to accomplish. My list could go on forever and now I have a way to hold myself accountable by choosing one thing to focus on each week. It can be big or small; it doesn't matter just as long as I specify what it is and get it done. So each week I will post my focus for the upcoming week as well as give a recap of how my week went with the previous focus. Now play along with Thrifty & Chic Mom and everyone else who is trying to put a little focus back into their lives.

Last Weeks Focus: I have cleared off my changing table and posted it on Freecycle this week to get rid of it. I had two people interested but it is still sitting in my living room. I am giving them until the end of the weekend and it is going to the curb because I don’t want it in my house. I am so thrilled to have this little bit of space back in my house.

This weeks Challenge: This week I am going to clean up my closet. I have a big walk in closet that is a mess from Christmas. I hide, wrap and everything else with my presents in the closet. I need to organize so much in their and get it put back together again. Wish me luck!!

Focus Friday: Out with the Changing Table

Thrifty & Chic Mom says: As we enter a new year everyone has a list as long as their arm of things they want to accomplish. My list could go on forever and now I have a way to hold myself accountable by choosing one thing to focus on each week. It can be big or small; it doesn't matter just as long as I specify what it is and get it done.

So today is focus Friday and this is my first time playing along. I must say I could really use this in my life because I tend to make lots of goals and not get any of them done hence my lack of focus. LOL…

Last Weeks Focus:
I had my tables cleaned off last Saturday. It was a great feeling and I just kept going and cleaned off the counters, top of the refrigerator and so on. By the time I was done my kitchen and dinning room were glowing. I was thrilled!!! Now keeping them cleaned off all week was a challenge. My boys called me cute when I said they were to keep the tables cleaned off. I had to make several threats this week but the tables look great and are still clean. Yeah!!!

This weeks Challenge: I have a changing table in my living room that is no longer used for its intended purpose. It has become a laundry holder along with so much more. My plane is to find a home for everything on it and get it out of my house. It would be nice to have that corner of my living room back.

It has been here for 6 years done its job for two kids, been a great toy rack but now it must go.

I have tried this one a few times before and never completed the task. Wish me luck!!!

Focus Friday #2

Thrifty & Chic Mom says: As we enter a new year everyone has a list as long as their arm of things they want to accomplish. My list could go on forever and now I have a way to hold myself accountable by choosing one thing to focus on each week. It can be big or small; it doesn't matter just as long as I specify what it is and get it done.

So each week I will post my focus for the upcoming week as well as give a recap of how my week went with the previous focus. Now play along with Thrifty & Chic Mom and everyone else who is trying to put a little focus back into their lives.

Last Weeks Focus: putting my house back in order. Now my goal is not to scrub every room but to just put away the stuff from Christmas that is still out, the bags of presents that haven’t found a home yet and just the general mess that has been collected around the house. The big question, “did I succeed”???? That would be a big fat no… The weekend is when I get things done and both Thomas and I ended up with strep throat. Needless to say I felt awful and did very little. I moved a lot of it to Luke’s room and cleared out the empty boxes but didn’t really find a specific home for everything.

This weeks Focust: My kitchen and dinning room tables have become the catch all again and I need to clean them off. I can’t stand the clutter on my tables and yet everyone in my house feels the need to drop everything or leave everything on my tables. Currently my dinning room table is covered with mail, some toys and some paint project that Luke started but never finished. By next week (God willing everyone stays healthy) those two tables are going to be cleaned off and kept that way. I don’t get why the tables have to be the spot for dropping everything off. Again, my motto… it isn’t going to get cleaned unless I do it. (insert large sigh here).

Focus Friday

What a great idea this is by Thrifty & Chic Mom and I am going to participate. She says: As we enter a new year everyone, myself included, has a list as long as their arm of things they want to accomplish. Now I have a way to hold myself accountable by choosing one thing to focus on each week. It can be big or small, it doesn't matter just as long as I specify what it is and get it done.

So each week I will post my focus for the upcoming week as well as give a recap of how my week went with the previous focus. Now here is the fun part, I want you to join me on my little focus challenge. (And you can go to her blog to participate there with the Mr. Linky or you could just do it your own way, either way, it's a GREAT idea). So, I'll pick something this Friday and report on it next Friday.

So today is focus Friday and this is my first time playing along. I must say I could really use this in my life because I tend to make lots of goals and not get any of them done hence my lack of focus. LOL…

So this week my focus is on putting my house back in order. I have been on/again off/again sick for three weeks now and my house looks like it exploded. I always say if I don’t clean it no one will and that is really true in my house. Now my goal is not to scrub every room but to just put away the stuff from Christmas that is still out, the bags of presents that haven’t found a home yet and just the general mess that has been collected around the house. Maybe my goal is a bit lacked in focus… yeah I know it sounds that way but I promise I understand what it is I want to do and it is two or three hours worth of work and I have got to just get-r-done.
