Talk or Text

TGIF & ALOHA FRIDAY

So this week has been crazy for me.
Everyday this week it has been the same routine:

  • Work
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Bed
  • Repeat
  • (except today (FRIDAY) I took a vacation day because I need a break)
My house is a total wreck and I don't understand why. We haven't been home except to sleep.

So as Kailani says, it is Friday and lets take it easy.
Question: TALK or TEXT? Simple enough!

My Answer: I am slowly getting into texting. I always thought a text was very impersonal but I now feel like it is a quick way to get an answer with out a long drawn out conversation.

When I say slowly, it is literally. Tiny buttons and I don't know the codes to make things simple so I am slow at sending a message.

Play along at An Island Life for Aloha Friday. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life.

WHERE, OH WHERE

Something always keeps me from leaving the house on time.

Yesterday I am frantically running around trying to find Thomas’s shoes.

15 minutes later & I find them here…

Happily perched on the handles of the rocking horse in the dinning room.

Seriously!

I swear my boys intentionally do this stuff just to make me crazy.

Go visit Angie at 7 Clown Circus for more great Wordful Wednesday post.

A NEW RIDE

So this week is Vacation Bible School at my church. My son is very excited about it and he is actually bringing some friends this year. All the more reason for him to get excited.

Our church is in a very small "don't blink" or you will miss it type of town. It is about 20 minutes from where we live. Because our church is a fair distance to travel I have volunteered to commute some of the kids to help parents out. Unfortunately for me I have volunteered my services a bit to much because I now have more kids than I have space for in my vehicle.

So what do I get to do to solve this problem. I get to trade my little SUV in for my mom's MINI-VAN for the week. Can I just say.... I hate mini-van's. I don't like driving them and they make me feel like I am my mom.

I actually find it funny that when I grew up I loved that my mom had a mini-van. We got one when they first came out and it was way cool. Now I am a mom but I do not find it way cool to drive a mini-van. Maybe because driving one labels me as a mom. Not that I would ever deni being a mom, I love being a mom. I just don't want to sport it in my vehicle of choice.

So I have to ask... do you drive a mini-van? Did you grow up riding around in one? Are you like me and dread the thought of owning a mini-van?
