My son is 15 months old and I have been trying out potty training. Now don’t think I am crazy, I am not looking to have him out of diapers next week, no I am just trying to get him to occasionally pee in the potty.
Nothing like a good head start.
So here is our routine….every time we change a diaper I sit him on the potty for a few minutes. While he is sitting on the potty I make a sssssss… sound to represent peeing or something like that. I think you all get the idea… LOL. Anyway now every time I sit Thomas on the potty he makes the sssssss….. sound. It is so funny that he thinks sitting on the potty means me make this silly sound. Now if only I could get him to actually pee in the potty. LOL….

We tried all kinds of games while potty training. Unfortunately, my daughter was so tiny that she slipped a little while sitting on the potty one evening. She wouldn't try it again for months. Good luck!
I've had two kids potty-trained before they were 2, one was closer to 18 months. They were both girls. I don't know if that makes a difference. My boys took a little longer. Mainly bladder control issues. I think the sooner you start hopefully the sooner you will not have to worry about diapers any more. hooray!
We started that with KK when she was about 12 months. And she potty-trained really early. I think we had her mostly potty-trained by about 21 months.
I've been trying the same with JJ, but can't seem to luck out on a time he actually needs to pee. He just looks at me like I'm crazy. Most of the time I won't let him near the toilet because he is obsessed with it!
you go girl...my 21 month old will not even sit on the potty..but my 3 year old potty trained himself at 18 months...kids..they are all so different! :)
