A NEW RIDE

So this week is Vacation Bible School at my church. My son is very excited about it and he is actually bringing some friends this year. All the more reason for him to get excited.

Our church is in a very small "don't blink" or you will miss it type of town. It is about 20 minutes from where we live. Because our church is a fair distance to travel I have volunteered to commute some of the kids to help parents out. Unfortunately for me I have volunteered my services a bit to much because I now have more kids than I have space for in my vehicle.

So what do I get to do to solve this problem. I get to trade my little SUV in for my mom's MINI-VAN for the week. Can I just say.... I hate mini-van's. I don't like driving them and they make me feel like I am my mom.

I actually find it funny that when I grew up I loved that my mom had a mini-van. We got one when they first came out and it was way cool. Now I am a mom but I do not find it way cool to drive a mini-van. Maybe because driving one labels me as a mom. Not that I would ever deni being a mom, I love being a mom. I just don't want to sport it in my vehicle of choice.

So I have to ask... do you drive a mini-van? Did you grow up riding around in one? Are you like me and dread the thought of owning a mini-van?

Mini vans are very practical but I will never drive one! Have a great time shuttling the kids!

Too Funny girl!
We did almost buy a mini-van last year, but ended up with a Tracker because of the 4 wheel drive aspect. I guess I wouldn't mind the mini-van just due to the room it has, but they do just scream "I am a Mom"!

LOL, I am fighting tooth and nail not to have to get a mini-van. I refuse to get one!!!

I am actually trying to convince my husband to buy one right now. I hate them, but I think that I will love them once we can enjoy all of the space.

LOL, no we don't have a van... but I remember being a kid and thinking my friends parents' with vans were awesome!! The mini-blinds in the back windows and captain chairs... we thought we were too cool for school!!! haha

Today, uh... yeah, not so much.

We do have a minivan, purely for practical reasons. It really doesn't bother me, though 10 years ago I would have been horrified at the thought! We never had a minivan growing up (I'm an only child).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! :)

I grew up with a suburban. I've driven a mini van for the last 8 years. I completely prefer the mini van to the SUV. It is more functional and easier to maneuver and park. I even prefer the mini van to the smaller SUV. And I really really prefer the mini van over a mid sized sedan. I just think they are great.

That having been said, there really is a stigma about them. I never wanted to be the Mom with the mini van. But they really are functional great vehicles. Some of these mini vans are really nice. And I really like actually driving and being in the car. :)

I hate it but I have a mini-van. I was fine with it when the kids were littler and that was my life but now I'm divorced and starting over and my boys are 6 & 9 and I feel like a total dork driving around in my mini-van. I can't wait to get rid of it!!!
