Talk or Text

TGIF & ALOHA FRIDAY

So this week has been crazy for me.
Everyday this week it has been the same routine:

  • Work
  • Vacation Bible School
  • Bed
  • Repeat
  • (except today (FRIDAY) I took a vacation day because I need a break)
My house is a total wreck and I don't understand why. We haven't been home except to sleep.

So as Kailani says, it is Friday and lets take it easy.
Question: TALK or TEXT? Simple enough!

My Answer: I am slowly getting into texting. I always thought a text was very impersonal but I now feel like it is a quick way to get an answer with out a long drawn out conversation.

When I say slowly, it is literally. Tiny buttons and I don't know the codes to make things simple so I am slow at sending a message.

Play along at An Island Life for Aloha Friday. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life.

It depends on who. My family, I like to talk to. If I don't need an immediate answer, I'll go for a text.

We do not pay extra for a texting plan with our cell phone. We are all about talking on our phones.

I thinking texting is easier but sometimes its hard to say what I want to say in a text.

Definitely talk. I only text when I need to tell someone something immediately and I know they can't talk at the moment, or when I need to give hubby a grocery list! :)

it depends... texting is good for when you don't really want to talk to someone. ;)

I like both. To my hubby texting and some of my friends especially when we are going ot see eachother very soon. But for real conversations talking.

I little of both, depends on who I need to talk/text too. If I text hubby he usually calls me back LOL. We also just got to upgrade our phones and they have full keyboards!! So now I am starting to text even more.
Have a great weekend!!

Right now it's all about the talk but in the very near future (I have a 12 yr old who is itching for his own phone) I can see where we'll be texting just to keep up w/ his various school activities!

LOL, you'll get there, I love it! My hubby and sister text me all day long it seems... so quick and convenient, and QUIET if you are at work and don't want anyone to hear what you are saying!! =)

You should SO join facebook. I love it!! If you do (or already are on there) look me up... Maggie Calcote Murphy. I have found a few blog friends on there and it's SO MUCH FUN!! Again, you can do it on your cell, so it's kinda like texting friends all day!! haha

Hmmm that depends. Mostly talk, but if it is someone who maybe I don't really want to talk to, just want to ask a quick question or turn down an invitation, then text! :)

I refuse to text and don't understand people who do. Because like you said, for me it's ALOT faster to talk!!

I don't do facebook, my space or twitter either!!

It depends. Like you said, texting can be very useful. But I only text with my husband. :)

it depends on the person i need to talk to .. it takes me too much to text so i generally prefer talking.. but if there's somebody that keeps the conversation too long then a text would be nice.. in the end my plan doesn't have unlimited calls, you know:)

Happy Aloha!
